Ruth Hartman has worked with people with ABI for over 20 years and enjoys supporting adults at any stage of their recovery journey. Ruth can support people with communication and swallowing needs due to ABI. She also provides social skills groups for young adults (see groups page) who may need support in re-engaging socially with peers after their brain injury. Ruth takes a wholistic approach to working with all her clients. Ruth encourages her clients to keep accessing the community, build relationships and keep practicing their communication socially rather than withdrawing.
Below are photos of ways clients have integrated rehabilitating their skills (physical, communication and swallowing) into activities they love.
